Our vision is to cultivate an early learning environment where the rich cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are acknowledged and respectfully embedded into our daily activities and curriculum. We aim to build strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within our community and inspire our children, staff and families to embrace cultural diversity. Â Â
We will respectfully incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily curriculum to deepen children, staff, families and wider community understanding and appreciation or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. Â Â
We will provide ongoing training opportunities for staff to enhance their cultural responsiveness and understanding of First Nations perspectives, histories, cultures and contemporary issues. Â Â
We will build partnerships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community by establishing connections with Traditional Custodians and Elders to build a deeper understanding of reconciliation, and we will participate in cultural events and activities. Â Â
We will engage with cultural responsiveness by fostering an environment where all staff and families are respectful of all cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. One of the ways we will do this is by ensuring our curriculum reflects Australia's true history and includes accurate representations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Â Â
This will be reflected in our physical environment, through the ways in which we create spaces within the Centre that are welcoming and reflective of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures. Â Â
