Goodstart Delacombe

Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Early Learning Delacombe is to provide educational opportunities for children, families and educators to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and cultures so that we can meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily routines and practice. We believe in doing so, this will contribute to making our centre a culturally safer place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Furthermore, we believe this will help create a better understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures for the Goodstart Delacombe community.   To connect with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, we engage with local organisations who provide learning experiences for our centre. We build strong relationships with our families and encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to share their knowledge with the Centre to support authentic interactions and learnings. In our centre we will respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives into curriculum and learning experiences.
