At Play CC&K, we belive that reconciliation is about coming together as a community and enabling a strong sense of truth, honest communication, equality, equity, and healing. This provides us with an opportunity to come together as a reconciled Australia, where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have the same choices and opportunities as non-Indigenous people in Australia. It is about creating an environment that is equal, inclusive of the cultural diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We believe that promoting a reconciled future for Australia will influence families, children, and the community to come together in a positive manner. These changes allow all to feel supported, included, and accepted.
Our commitment to reconciliation is one that is ever evolving and promotes everybody to grow and learn. Our educators in the centre are encouraged to learn, discover, and connect with new information and people as they grow their knowledges and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and perspectives.
