Our vision at Goodstart Grovedale - Pioneer Road is to empower children to respect and acknowledge the unique cultures of  First Nations peoples of this country. We recognise the importance of respecting, valuing and authentically acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, and achievements. We strive to gain a deeper understanding of the rich histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Goodstart Grovedale is committed to building partnerships based on trust, respect, and recognition of the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as enduring and living cultures. We respect and value the cultural insights that we gain as we establish strong links between Goodstart Grovedale, the children, families, and communities of Wathaurong people of the Kulin Nation. We believe that maintaining meaningful, ongoing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is fundamental to achieving our organisational purpose to maximise childrens life opportunities, outcomes and guide their learning journey here at Goodstart Grovedale. We are committed to developing deeper connections across our organisation through partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities to embed reconciliation strategies across our centre. Goodstart Grovedale strives to build staff knowledge and understanding of the continuing contributions of First Nations peoples in Australia.
