Goodstart Croydon's vision for reconciliation is:
"We Walk Together,
(to Recognise, Celebrate and Embrace Being Australian together)
We Stand Together,
(to Strive for Equity and Equality)
We Belong Together,
(Recognise and Value our commonalities and our differences, coming together as one)."
We strongly believe that relationships built on trust, mutual respect, equality, equity and understanding between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians are the key for reconciliation. We are passionate about building an ongoing connection with and working alongside the Traditional Owners, in providing an educational program for our children, educators and families that provides opportunities for them to learn and develop an understanding about the histories, traditions and cultures of Australia’s First Peoples. We, as Educators of Australia’s youngest generation, believe education is fundamental to a reconciled Australia.
