At Community Kids Chirnside Park, we are dedicated to promoting reconciliation and respectfully including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives into our curriculum. We will continue to raise awareness among our educators, children, and families, fostering a deeper understanding of the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through inclusive practices, we educate the children and ourselves about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and perspectives in a meaningful and respectful manner. Collaboration is key in this reconciliation process, and we strive to engage and strengthen connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We are committed to providing ongoing cultural awareness training for our team, focusing on the cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that to respectfully embed these perspectives throughout our service, we must first educate ourselves to continue breaking down barriers between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, creating an inclusive and culturally safe and rich environment for our children and their families.  Â
