At Kids Academy Doncaster East, our vision for reconciliation is for all children and educators to gain a deeper understanding of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, perspectives, histories and cultures. By teaching about and respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s perspectives within our service and curriculum, we hope to foster the children and educators respect for the diverse identities and perspectives of First Nations peoples of Australia.
We will work to build meaningful and respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities. These relationships will influence our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and how to embed them within our service to ensure a culturally inclusive environment for all.
