Here at Peppercorn Early Learning Centre Kew, we are committed to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities. We recognise the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures, acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' deep, ongoing connections with lands, waters and communities.    

Our vision for a reconciled Australia, is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures to be acknowledge and respected within society and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' rights to be actively recognised.  

We are committed to ensuring that all children have equal, equitable and culturally responsive opportunities to exercise choices about the way in which they lead meaningful, healthy lives.   

We acknowledge that our Reconciliation Action Plan’s development and implementation is a continual process, and we will add to it as we grow individually, as a team and as an organisation on our reconciliation journey. Our commitment mirrors our values of respect for diversity, inclusion, advocating the rights of children, justice, honesty and courage. We envision that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives and cultures are deeply and respectfully integrated in our learning environments and experiences and that the importance of reconciliation is entrenched in our being, belonging and becoming.
