At Queensberry Children’s Centre we respectfully acknowledge the Wurrundjeri People of the Kulin Nation who are the First Owners and Carers of the Land where we teach, learn and grow. Our vision is to recognise and value Aboriginal and Tores Strait Islander peoples’ histories, perspectives and cultures and share this growing knowledge and understanding with the children and family members using the service. We aim to strengthen and maintain our relationships and connections between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people. We will learn and encourage respectful ways of teaching others by promoting respect and trust when learning about our shared histories and the ongoing impacts on First Peoples. We continue to develop a culture of understanding and reconciliation.
