Our vision is to visibly respect and acknowledge the unique connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the Land on which our preschool is situated, and to build genuine, respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.Â
We will work towards cultivating relationships with the wider community and believe that community connection is essential to children's sense of belonging. Blue Gum acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities provide a valuable and significant contribution to the broader community. Â
We will deepen our knowledge and understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and perspectives and respectfully embed these into the daily preschool programs.Â
