At Glenmore Park Child and Family Centre, we will strive to ensure children and educators are aware of the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander [eoples.
Embedding reconciliation in meaningful ways will occur through fostering connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and our daily experiences with children and families.
Educators will support all children to learn and respect the significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, perspectives and histories. We will hold ourselves accountable to focusing on building positive futures for every child, reducing inequality, eliminating racism and infusing cultural responsiveness into everyday practice and pedagogy.
Engaging with, and exploring, reconciliation at Glenmore Park Child and Family Centre will ultimately lead to making curriculum decisions that support children to learn about, and respect, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring we remain respectful while learning to understand First Nations ways of being and doing.
