Reconciliation within Gidgillys Early Education and Care means each staff member and child is aware of and given an opportunity to understand the true histories of Australia, the ongoing impacts of inequality and inequity on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to learn about the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. Gidgillys recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Peoples of Australia and will respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and perspectives and will respectfully embed them into our practices so our growing Australia recognises and acknowledges this into the future.
