At Little Cherubs Gerringong, we take pride in our ability to respectfully engage and promote an awareness and understanding of reconciliation through equality, equity and solidarity within our Early Learning Centre and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Â Â Â
We believe that reconciliation takes a gentle approach to supporting younger generations to be able to experience the world as we know it today and every other day by providing high quality education and care, health and wellbeing. Â
Through play-based learning, we aim to incorporate reconciliation and awareness by emphasising compassion, care and respect for the First Nations Peoples of Australia. This will extend into children and educators promoting their skills and abilities to develop age-appropriate conflict resolution skills, cultural responsiveness to support lay the foundations for positive relationships and collaboration between staff, children, families, the wider community and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.           Â
