At Create, Imagine, Learn Kiama Downs, our vision for reconciliation is to create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive and respectful environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' histories, cultures and perspectives are acknowledged and respectfully embedded into our learning environments and practices daily. Our team at Create, Imagine, Learn Kiama Downs believes that reconciliation begins with the youngest members of our community and that we can help build a sense of reconciliation throughout and within our environment with culturally responsive practices, story telling, language and understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' connections to Country.    We aim to ensure we are a culturally safe space for children, their families and educators and strive to foster a deep sense of belonging, respect and responsibility. We are dedicated to building genuine relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, educators, and communities. Through education, cultural awareness, and meaningful action, we strive to contribute to a future where all children grow up in a country that embraces equity, equality and unity.   Together, we are working together to plant the seeds of understanding, respect and reconciliation for the children of today and for many generations to come. We are grateful to live and learn on Dharawal Country, and we promise to care for this Land with respect and kindness, just as the Dharawal people have done for thousands of years.     We are committed to learning about and celebrating the cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
