We are proud that George Street Children’s Centre is on Kamilaroi Land, and we acknowledge Kamilaroi Ancestors and Elders.
Our vision for reconciliation is to create a culturally safe and nurturing environment and for all educators, children, families, and stakeholders to have a shared respect, shared meaning and shared knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, heritage and continuing contributions. We are dedicated and aspired to continue to grow our connection with our local Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Their presence in our centre is warming and the connection is powerful.
May we continue to learn, grow, and walk together in reconciliation, and stay committed to creating a strong and connected future for all children and families.
