At Goodstart Early Learning Centre Bateau Bay, we respectfully walk on Darkinjung Ngura the Land of the Darkinjung people. We honour the Darkinjung peoples deep and enduring connections to Country, and we recognise the Darkinjung people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, learn, and play.   Our vision for reconciliation is a continuous journey, one grounded in unity, respect, and the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and contributions. We acknowledge the profound strength and resilience of First Nations peoples and are committed to learning from and with them.   We recognise the injustices of the past and present, including the forced removal of Land and the trauma of the Stolen Generations, and we understand the importance of Truth-telling as part of the healing process. Through education, reflection, and action, we  foster a future that values equity, equality, justice, and inclusion for all.   At our centre, educators respectfully and meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives throughout our curriculum. This includes incorporating the local Darkinjung language and culture in ways that are authentic and guided by cultural knowledge holders where possible.   Our learning environments are intentionally designed to be culturally safe, inclusive, and reflective of the rich diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We believe reconciliation is not a single act, but a shared journey a path we must walk together through ongoing actions and genuine relationships. At Goodstart Bateau Bay, we are committed to continuing this journey with respect, openness, and purpose.      Â
