VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision of reconciliation is one that encompasses the strengthening of relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians within our service and the wider community. We are striving to respectfully embed practices within our service that recognise the value and importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures whilst establishing strong relationships with community organisations and local Aboriginal Elders.   We respectfully acknowledge the Darkinyung people, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we work and play. We recognise all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have come from other First Nations Lands and who have now come to call this country their home. We recognize and respect the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and value them as part of our shared national story and identity.   We recognise that a forward-thinking approach to reconciliation requires continual critical reflection and are committed to ongoing learning and professional development to implement actions and plans that aim to achieve a truly reconciled Australia.
