VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Integricare Brighton-Le-Sands Preschool, our vision for reconciliation is grounded in respect, inclusivity, and a deep commitment to acknowledging the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We aspire to nurture a preschool environment where children, families, and educators come together to honour the First Nations peoples of Australia, particularly the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and play, the Bidjigal people of the Eora Nation.

As an early learning service, we recognise the powerful role we play in shaping the next generation. We are committed to embedding reconciliation in our everyday practices, fostering cultural awareness, empathy, and understanding from the earliest years. Through play-based learning, meaningful cultural experiences, and inclusive storytelling, we seek to empower children to develop a strong sense of identity, respect for diversity, and a genuine appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.

Our commitment to reconciliation is inspired by our belief that all children deserve to grow in a world that values truth-telling, healing, and justice. We aim to be a service where the voices and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are not only heard, but celebrated. Through ongoing learning, reflection, and collaboration with community, we strive to build strong foundations for a future that embraces equity, unity, and shared respect.

Together, we walk the journey of reconciliation—guided by heart, enriched by culture, and inspired by the children who remind us every day of the importance of hope and connection.
