At Little Genius Early Learning Centre, our vision for reconciliation is a community where every child, family, and educator feels a strong sense of belonging, connection and respect. We recognise the importance of the early years in shaping values and understand that this is a vital time to foster for respect for Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories. We are committed to creating and maintaining a learning environment where the voices, stories and contributions of First Nations peoples are meaningfully engaged with every day. We honour and celebrate the world’s oldest continuous cultures by respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives across our curriculum, learning spaces, and daily interactions. We recognise reconciliation as an ongoing journey—one that involves deep listening, learning, and action. We are dedicated to building respectful and lasting relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and we welcome their guidance as we our practices and teaching approaches. Through culturally responsive education, strong partnerships, and a commitment to continuous growth, we will support our children to develop empathy, awareness, and understanding of our shared histories. Together, we hope to contribute to a future built on respect, understanding, and unity for all Australians.
