VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our service believes that reconciliation means valuing and recognising the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures and heritages as part of a shared national identity and we continue our commitment in sharing our developing knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures with the wider community.

Our vision for reconciliation is to create equity, equality and unity by educating children, staff and families about the true histories, cultures and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We continue to build generations that develop an  acceptance of the ongoing national injustices and impacts since colonisation, and recognises and values the traditions, customs and diversity of First Nations peoples and cultures. We do this through providing children authentic, engaging and culturally appropriate learning experiences, by embedding learning in the curriculum, through meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait community stakeholders and ensuring we constantly review and achieve the RAP actions and deliverables.
