At Kalgoorlie School of the Air, our vision is to increase awareness and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and their cultures and to embrace unity among all Australians. We acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners of the Land, on which our school building and student home classrooms are built, and wish to learn about their stories, wisdom, traditions, and cultures from the past and present and respectfully share this knowledge and stories with our community through our curriculum programs and daily interactions within our school community. As a distance education school, we will build positive relationships with the local First Nations communities by being respectful, collaborative and dealing with all people with integrity and with compassion. We will continue to seek advice from local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islnadercommunity groups where needed and seek to show understanding of individual experiences.
