Seek Wisdom, Together Gooseberry Hill Primary School is located on Whadjuk County. We value the seeking of wisdom and a sense of togetherness with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, in a culturally inclusive environment..
Our vision for reconciliation at GHPS is that our students, staff and community seek wisdom, together. In seeking wisdom, we will deepen our understanding of the past and speak the truths of Australia's shared history with First Nations peoples. We acknowledge and respect the wisdom of the Traditional Owners of the Land. We continue to build connections and relationships with Elders, Traditional Owners and Community. We continue to deepen our learning, teaching and understanding about reconciliation and days of national significance. Together, we will celebrate and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rich histories, cultures and contributions. We respectfully infuse First Nations peoples’ cultural perspectives in our everyday learning and lives. Together we create and strengthen a unified, inclusive, equal and equitable Australia that enables all people to be proud of who they are. We will continue to drive positive change in our school and community
