VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Kinross College, our vision for reconciliation is grounded in a commitment to fostering respectful relationships and promoting equity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We recognise reconciliation as a shared journey that requires truth-telling, cultural understanding, and meaningful action. Located on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar, we honour the enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, and community. We are committed to learning from and with First Nations peoples, valuing their languages, histories, and contributions as central to our educational environment. Our College strives to create culturally safe spaces where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families, and staff feel respected, heard, and empowered. We believe that reconciliation must be visible in our practices, policies, and relationships, and that education plays a vital role in shaping a more just and inclusive future. We are dedicated to ensuring equitable access to quality education, supporting all students to reach their full potential and become active contributors to their communities. Through collaboration, we seek to elevate First Nations voices in decision-making processes and embed reconciliation as a lived reality within our school culture. Kinross College embraces reconciliation as an ongoing responsibilityone that inspires us to reflect, learn, and act with integrity and purpose.
