At St John’s Catholic Primary School our vision for reconciliation is to be a community of faith that respects and acknowledges the importance of reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Inspired by the words of Jesus, to ‘Love one another as I have loved you’, we aim to promote and respect the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as part of our shared national story and identity.
At St John’s, we try to be like Jesus in everything we do and are committed to providing an inclusive curriculum that engages and supports equal and equitable educational opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
To improve the learning outcomes between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in alignment with our vision for reconciliation, St John’s continues to engage with professional learning of all staff.
