At Bethania Lutheran School, we acknowledge the Yugambeh People as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and grow. Guided by our Lutheran faith, we are committed to reconciliation through respect, truth-telling, and building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We aim to ecognise and celebrate First Nations cultures, histories, and languages. We will respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our teaching, environment, and community life. We support culturally safe spaces where all students and families feel included and respected and acknowledge past injustices and work for equity and fairness for First Nations peoples. We listen to First Nations voices, including supporting the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

We believe reconciliation is a shared journey of non-Indigenous people in collaboration with First Nations peoples. With respect, care, and courage, we are committed to walking together towards a future that values all people and communities.
