 At Albany Creek State School, our vision for reconciliation is to foster authentic relationships which are respectfully developed and based on trust, mutual understanding and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community.   We are committed to creating a culturally safe, equitable and inclusive community that recognises, respects and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives, true histories, and cultures.      We aim to do this by acknowledging and recognising the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and by respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, true histories and perspectives into our curriculum, daily practices and school environment, while fostering a deep sense of connection and belonging through community engagement.  Our aim is to provide respectful opportunities in a safe and equitable environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all students Furthermore, we are committed to continually reflect on our daily practices for ongoing improvement and a share journey toward reconciliation.
