Reconciliation is important to Yarrunga Primary School as it provides an opportunity to strengthen the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community to bring about a positive change for future generations to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures and to support, and empower each other. At Yarrunga Primary School we are committed to collaborating with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to continue to build respectful, reciprocal relationships that deepen our understanding and knowledge about the histories and experiences of First Nations people. We will continue to foster opportunities for all staff and students in our school community to benefit from developing respectful, empathetic, and understanding relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and all Australians, to ultimately build a reconciled future generation.
