VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Quantin Binnah Community Centre, our vision for reconciliation is to create a respectful, inclusive, and culturally safe community that acknowledges and honours the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise reconciliation as an ongoing journey grounded in learning, reflection, and meaningful relationships.  We are committed to building strong and respectful connections with local First Nations communities and embedding culturally responsive practices across our programs and environment. Our educational programs acknowledge significant cultural events and highlight First Nations contributions across many fields, helping children, families, and educators develop deeper understanding and respect.  Quantin Binnah has spent many years thoughtfully considering how to respectfully embed First Nations perspectives in our daily practice. The development of our Reconciliation Action Plan represents a significant step in strengthening these commitments. Through our RAP, we aim to ensure that a genuine respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is reflected in our actions, decisions, and community culture. Our vision is to walk alongside First Nations peoples to build a future based on understanding, inclusion, and shared growth.
