At Mt St Patrick Primary School, we continue to build a reconciled community, and to develop rich and positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community. We will continue to respectfully engage with First Nations peoples histories and cultures through our curriculum, prayer and symbols. We are committed to working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to increase respect, reduce prejudice and strengthen unity in our society to promote reconciliation. We will continue educating children to become people who reflect on the true histories of Australia, act in the present and look to the future where we work and learn together in harmony towards reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are life-long learners, who are passionate about continuously engaging in learning experiences, which deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and cultures. We are people of heart and pride, committed to a reconciled Australia where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and given equal and equitable opportunities. The National Reconciliation Week 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future and serves as a reminder of the individual power we all hold to have a positive impact along the journey to reconciliation. Every day we have the opportunity to make mindful decisions that contribute to reconciliation, through our thoughts and actions. Â
