We acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, and recognising their perspectives important in student’s learning. We are committed to building genuine, long-lasting relationships with local and wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, fostering a deep connection to the Land on which our school stands. Our vision for reconciliation is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, histories and languages to be meaningfully and authentically embedded within our practice. We will support staff, students and the wider school community with opportunities to deepen their understanding of, and nurture positive partnerships with, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We strive for the Emanuel School community to actively pursue reconciliation, thinking and acting with knowledge, understanding and respect.
