Rona Glynn Preschool acknowledges and honours Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia, who have cared for Country, culture, and community for tens of thousands of years and always will. We respect the enduring connection of the Arrernte people, whose Land we live, work, learn, and play on.   Our vision is to walk alongside children, families, and community on a shared journey of reconciliation, creating a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful space where everyone belongs, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples ways of knowing, being, and doing are acknowledged and respected. To achieve this, we will embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives meaningfully and authentically and respectfully share our understandings Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and languages in our daily practice, ensuring they are a living part of our learning environment.  We will continue to strengthen reciprocal relationships by building and nurturing deeper, ongoing connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, with a strong focus on relationships with Arrernte people.  We recognise that high-quality early childhood education supports equal and equitable opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.  Engaging in critical reflection supports children, families, and staff to reflect on where we have come from, where we are now, and where we are moving towards in our continuous journey of reconciliation.  Seek and embrace opportunities for children and families to learn on Country, guided by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  We celebrate milestones and  take time to acknowledge the achievements, learnings, and growth in our reconciliation journey.       Â
