Saint David's Parish School

Our vision for reconciliation is to foster and maintain collaborative relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and our school community. We will provide meaningful opportunities for students, staff, families and the wider community to listen and learn with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples about the past, their current circumstances and their vision for the future.  

Saint David's Parish School strives to provide a culturally safe and supportive learning environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all people that ensures equal and equitable learning opportunities.   

We will continue to strengthen the embedding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives and histories across the curriculum. This will be achieved by increasing opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices to be authentically included in teaching and learning, ensuring respectful and accurate representation of their histories, cultures, and contributions. 

Staff cultural responsiveness will be enhanced through ongoing reflection and targeted professional learning to deepen understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultures. 

We continue to respect and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and diversity, committing to strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.
