VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Peak Sports and Learning, our staff, children and families are proud to act as positive role models on the journey of reconciliation. We actively learn from and alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, especially the Dharawal people, whose enduring presence and culture enrich the local community.   Reconciliation is deeply woven into the fabric of our program; respect, honest connections, and meaningful relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are its cornerstone values. We are committed to moving forward together united, working hand in hand to build a better nation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians.     Our centre is dedicated to continually strengthening our understanding of the histories, cultures, and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In doing so, we pledge to foster a culturally responsive and genuinely equitable place for everyone. We strive to create an inclusive environment where the knowledge systems, ways of knowing, and modes of being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are not just recognised but valued.     In our daily programming, we respectfully embed activities informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and pedagogies. These experiences invite children to engage, explore, and deepen their awareness of the histories, viewpoints and contributions of First Nations peoples.  To support our ongoing journey of learning and to meaningfully incorporate First Peoples knowledge within our service, we will continue to build strong, positive partnerships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
