VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to actively and consistently engage our team, community, and children at our service to contribute to the overall reconciliation across Australia and within our community.

We envision meaningful reconciliation between the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and the wider community.  These relationships will be built on continuous effort of commitment and reflection on the actions we have agreed to as an OSHC service.

We believe that all children have a right to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and perspectives, and we believe we can increase the cultural responsiveness of every member of our community by proudly engaging with our RAP, encouraging an entire community approach to reconciliation.

To achieve our vision, we will regularly look to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our programs, embedded practices, and physical spaces, ensuring to do so in a way that is respectful, educational, and celebratory.
