At Story House Early Learning Doreen 2 we are committed to our reconciliation journey and strive to become culturally responsive and acknowledge the true histories of Australia whilst learning about the cultures, traditions and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities today. The service is committed to taking steps to build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We strive to ensure that our service is a culturally safe space to be, welcoming in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, families, and children into our centre as we continue building relationships with the First Nations community. We strive to become allies of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the Traditional Custodians of the Land, to create a culturally safe environment that acknowledges and educates children, families and the community on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
