Our vision for reconciliation at Cranbourne Day Care and Kindergarten Centre - Green Gully is to a welcoming, culturally safe and respectful centre. A centre where the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people are strengthened by respect, equality and equity.
We will continually strive to have the children in our care develop a rich understanding of First Nations peoples’ histories, build an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ connections to the Land and foster respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community.
Supporting families and children to respect the many achievements and continuing contributions of First Nations peoples builds mutual respect and is a small step on our path to reconciliation.
