VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Small Friends Kialla, our vision for reconciliation is rooted in respect, understanding, and unity. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are respected and woven into the fabric of our daily lives. Our school recognises the profound significance of the Land on which we learn, grow, and play, and we pay respect to the Yorta Yorta people as the Traditional Owners.

Our commitment to reconciliation is motivated by a deep desire to promote respect, equality, and the well-being of all children and families in our community. We strive to nurture a sense of belonging for everyone, ensuring that the voices, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are heard, acknowledged, and respected.

Through education, cultural exchange, and ongoing dialogue, we aim to create opportunities for mutual understanding and healing. We believe that reconciliation is not just a process of acknowledgment but a journey that invites us all to actively engage with one another, support one another, and build stronger connections across cultures.

Our vision is for every child at Small Friends Kialla to grow up with a deep understanding of the rich cultural heritages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate future.
