At Little Kindy Canning Vale, our vision for reconciliation is to create a childcare environment rooted in respect, understanding, and partnership, where reconciliation is lived every day through our relationships, daily practices and pedagogy. Our goal is to nurture a culturally safe and inclusive space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all children, families, and educators, feel valued, heard and empowered. We committed to respectfully honoring the true histories, cultures, and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by embedding their perspectives diverse traditions, and fostering Truth-telling into our daily curriculum, acknowledging Through respectful collaboration, continuous learning, and reflective practice, we aim to build a future where every child grows up with a strong sense of identity, belonging, and connection to community. Reconciliation in our childcare setting means not only acknowledging past injustices but actively working to dismantle barriers, promote equity, and cultivate healing. We believe we are powerful agents of change, and through inclusive, compassionate education, we can shape a more united future on the path of reconciliation. Â
