VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to create an early learning environment where every child, family, and educator feels a deep sense of respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories. We believe reconciliation begins with truth-telling, cultural understanding, and shared responsibility, and we are committed to embedding these principles in all aspects of our practice.   We strive to honour the Traditional Custodians of the land by Acknowledging Country and incorporating local stories and languages into our learning experiences. We will build authentic relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, ensuring their voices guide our decisions and programs. Fostering cultural competence among educators through ongoing learning, un-learning, and re-learning will ensure that our teaching reflects respect and inclusion.  We aim to create opportunities for children and families to engage with Indigenous perspectives through play, storytelling, and community connections. We will embed reconciliation in our policies, curriculum, and daily practices, making it a living commitment rather than a symbolic gesture.     Our vision is for a future where every child grows with an understanding of Australias shared history and a commitment to equity and respect, laying the foundation for a reconciled nation.
