Our vision for Reconciliation is to establish an educational community that ensures equal and equitable outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all people. We will work in collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and the wider community to develop strategies to respectfully implement Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives into our educational setting.
We believe that in order for reconciliation to be achieved, the true histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are be acknowledged and recognised. We understand that the past injustices that have been endured by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples has caused a sense of distrust. We also acknowledge and understand that reconciliation is everybody's responsibility and that we need to embed cultural awareness into our daily practices and interactions in order to move in a positive direction. In order for our relationships to be strengthened, we aim to hear and acknowledge the stories and aspirations of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and develop actions that will assist in delivering positive and enduring outcomes. We will succeed in these objectives by engaging and empowering our staff and children from all cultural backgrounds to build stronger, meaningful connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
