VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Great Beginnings Hornsby, we are committed to fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and inclusion as we walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the journey of reconciliation. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our center stands and respect their deep connections to Country, culture, and community.

Our vision for reconciliation is a welcoming and culturally safe environment where all children, families, and educators feel a strong sense of belonging. Through meaningful relationships, education, and daily practice, we strive to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives in our curriculum, acknowledging the world’s oldest living cultures with respect and authenticity.

We are dedicated to listening, learning, and taking action to contribute to a more just and equitable future. By engaging with Elders, families, and the wider community, we aim to build strong partnerships that support truth-telling, cultural learning, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ voices.

As we guide young minds, we recognise our responsibility to instill values of respect, empathy, and unity—helping to shape a future where reconciliation is not just a goal, but a lived reality.
