VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Bluebird Berwick we hope to help build a community where  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples rich traditions, perspectives, stories, and true histories are not only respected but meaningfully acknowledged.  We want to deepen our understanding of First Nations Peoples, past and present, and actively listen to the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.     We believe reconciliation is not just a word, it's an action. Through this journey, we hope to foster a stronger sense of connection, trust, and unity among our staff, families, and the wider community.  We are committed to learning, unlearning, and relearning so that we can better ensure equality and equity in educational outcomes for the children in our care and create a space where First Nations peoples cultures, perspectives and true histories are seen, heard, and valued.     Ultimately, we hope our reconciliation efforts contribute to lasting change not just within our service, but beyond it. We want to play a part in building a more just and equitable future, where respect and understanding guide how we live, work, and care for one another every day.
