Nangamay Out of School Hours Care will facilitate a holistic approach to reconciliation where our service moves away from a tokenistic approach to that of respect, inclusion, social justice, and acceptance. We will challenge biases and prejudices of young people, families, community, and educators. We will support young people in the exploration of First Nations peoples, histories, and cultures.  We acknowledge our true histories and the impact this continues to have on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will provide a space where we embrace the significance of individual culture, language, connection in developing positive self-identity. We will strive to form connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and wider local community, attending community events and welcoming community into our space. We will ensure we are consulting with local First Nations community members as we ensure we are contributing a reconciled Australia.      Â
