At Brady Bunch Early Learning Centre, Urraween we believe in reconciliation and the essential role it plays in education. It is our goal to educate our children, educators and families about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s histories and cultures in a respectful and appropriate manner. We firmly believe that reconciliation is essential in our wider community, and that engagement in professional learning, respectful conversations and committing to forming partnerships within the local Butchulla Community is an important part of our goal. We will continue to learn, unlearn and relearn about the true histories of Australia and First Nations peoples. We strongly believe in reconciliation and working together towards our shared future. Educators are supported to utilise their learnings to strengthen our pedagogy and practices to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives are respectfully incorporated into our everyday program. Our vision is for all people within our community to join in our journey of reconciliation.
