Papilio Casey Fields’ vision for reconciliation is a world where every child feels acknowledged, understood, and supported on their journey of reconciliation, growth and learning. It is a vision where the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are respected, and every child is given the tools to thrive in an environment that fosters respect, kindness, and inclusion.
Through a commitment to nurturing relationships, we aim to create environments where children learn the importance of empathy, fairness, and justice. Children will be encouraged to question prejudice and biases and develop the skills to contribute positively to a reconciled society. Educators, caregivers, and families will work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring that reconciliation becomes an integral part of the curriculum, teaching children about both the challenges and strengths of the communities they are part of.
