VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Quantin Binnah, reconciliation means fostering meaningful relationships, cultural respect, and an inclusive society built on mutual understanding and shared values.  Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) reflects our commitment to respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, particularly honouring the Bunurong people, the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their neighbors, the Wadawurrung people.   We provide staff with cultural responsiveness training, developed in consultation with local First Nations communities, including the Bunurong and Wadawurrung peoples. This equips our team to understand and respect their rich histories and traditions.  Language and communication are central to our approach to reconciliation in education. In collaboration with Traditional Custodians, we will work together to embed their perspectives  ensuring they are acknowledged  and visible in our community spaces.   We are creating and maintaining culturally rich and responsive environments that acknowledge the heritage of the Bunurong and Wadawurrung peoples.  By collaborating with these communities and broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups, we advance our shared journey toward reconciliation, unity, and respect.
