VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our service has continued to strive to be an advocate for reconciliation, bringing this into our everyday practice and learning intentions within each room in the centre.  We strive to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, perspectives and cultures respectfully into our programming, environments, excursions and daily learning discussions with the community around us. We promote inclusiveness and endeavour to be a voice for change - creating a future based on respect, understanding and acknowledgement of the ongoing impacts of colonisation on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.   We strive to create strong reciprocal relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, as well as  larger communities across Australia. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land in which we learn, play and grow and ensure our actions reflect this each day.  Our service believes is educating, mentoring & supporting the children, educators, families and the wider community in how to advocate for reconciliation and honour the Traditional Owners of the Land in which we live and play in everyday life.
