Billy Button Childrens Centre vision for reconciliation is based on building genuine unity and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the non-Indigenous community. Through authentic connections and respectful relationships, we will create and promote opportunities both internally and externally to build understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories, while raising awareness around reconciliation.  There will be a shared understanding of the actions required and commitments by us to achieve our vision for reconciliation. Billy Button Childrens Centre will apply a whole-team approach to understanding, research, and action, to drive our Reconciliation Action Plan.  We will actively involve the children who learn and play with us on Wurundjeri Country in developing cultural responsiveness, encouraging us all to share our understanding with the wider community and to embrace a racism stops with me approach in taking action against discrimination for First Nations peoples.  As a service, we will support all children, families and educators to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures to advance reconciliation in education and the wider community.  We are committed to continuous learning, ensuring our educators, children, and families engage in ongoing reflection and growth in their understanding of First Nations perspectives. Â
