VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vison for reconciliation is to build connections and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Elders. Little Zaks Shellharbour is committed to working towards creating a vision which is based on fair and just opportunities, and to raise awareness to promote equitable outcomes for Nations peoples.    The aim of our Reconciliation Action Plan is to provide meaningful opportunities to guide Educators to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives through purposeful educational experiences, activities and daily interactions.    Our vison of developing the RAP for our service is to:   - Provide educators and the team with opportunities to learn about the importance of histories, cultures, traditions, customs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.  - Continue to educate the next generation about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures, way of living and way of doing.  - Learn the local history of the Wodi Wodi people, Dharawal Land  - Authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our learning environments and day to day practices.   - Build on meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community   - We will work towards developing culturally competent environments
