At Lillies Cubby House Ayr, our Vision for Reconciliation is grounded in deep respect for the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are committed to fostering a culturally safe and inclusive environment where all children, families, and educators feel heard, valued, and connected. We believe reconciliation is an ongoing journey of truth-telling, active listening, and meaningful action. Our aim is to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and to respectfully embed their voices, perspectives, and ways of knowing into our everyday teaching practices. Through storytelling, shared learning, and celebration of the worlds oldest living cultures, we support children to develop a lifelong respect and curiosity for the First Nations peoples of this land. We strive to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives are respectfully embedded in our curriculum and reflected across our services culture and identity. We aim to teach our children to respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples heritages of this land and the cultural richness it holds. By learning about the stories, knowledge, and beliefs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our learning environment, we hope to create  generations of learners who value diversity, truth, and reconciliation.
We acknowledge that reconciliation is everyones responsibility and commit to walking alongside community, families, and Reconciliation Australia to support a just, equal and equitable future for all Australians. Â
